On June 16th, Negev Industrial Minerals held a ceremony to celebrate the launching of a new lime processing facility. The Minister of Industry, Trade & Labor, Shalom Simhon also attended the event.
The facility was built over a period of 2 years and started its production in February. The company doubled its production capacity, making Negev Industrial Minerals the leading lime producer in Israel.
Many distinguished guests attended this impressive ceremony, including the CEO of the Manufacturers Association Mr. Amir Hayek, the director of Investment Center Mr. Hezi Tzaig - Tamar Regional Council Chairman Mr. Dov Litvinoff, and many others.
The Minister of Industry, Trade & Labour, Shalom Simhon, opened the ceremony with a speech. He referred to the changes that occur in Negev region - "This is an important step for the region. I understand that only by daring, entrepreneurship and vision we can produce a healthy economy and a solid financial strength within the State of Israel, for the industrialists and, of course, for the workers who enjoy a stable and sustainable employment. We will continue to support the development of Negev and the vision of industrialists accompanying us and I hope that, in the future, we will hear about more accomplishments like this
Ofra Chen, CEO of Negev Industrial Minerals added: "I am proud to say that after a long process of about two years, we managed to reach our goals. The new kiln allows us to further develop a variety of high quality and innovative products. I want to thank our guests who honored us by attending the ceremony"
